PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dehumidifier in which the number of components is reduced, and a cost is also reduced since much time is not required for mounting work of a valve device. SOLUTION: This dehumidifier has, in a body 1, a cooler 2, a condenser 3, a compressor 4, a water tray 5 for receiving water dripped from the cooler 2, and a wastewater tank 7, and is so structured that a drain hole 6 is formed in the water tray 5, the valve device 13 gearing with introduction and extraction of the wastewater tank 7 is installed so as to face to the drain hole 6, and the drain hole 6 is closed when the wastewater tank 7 is extracted by the valve device 13. The valve device 13 is composed of a lever 14 formed with a spring member, and a valve element 15 attached to the lever, and is so structured that the drain hole 6 is closed with the valve element 15 by elastic force imparted to the lever 14 itself when the wastewater tank 7 is extracted.
