PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a jig and a method for attaching a measuring means accurately and conveniently on the axis of a rotary shaft of a tire wheel. SOLUTION: The jig 1 is provided with a fitting member 6 that has the same bolt diameter as a standard nut 10 for fitting a tire wheel 4 to a vehicle and has a thread part 11 at its upper end, a center positioning member 7 having a bar 15 where a measuring means 5 is fitted to its upper end, a joining member 8 that is made of strip of plate material and has a first through hole 18 that extends across the fitting member 6 and center positioning member 7 and has a thread inner surface for guiding the spiral movement of the bar 15 of the center positioning member 7 and a thin and long second through hole 19 that allows the parallel movement of the center positioning member 7 in a direction of approaching/isolating to/from the fitting member 6, and a tightening member 9 to be screw-joined with the thread part 11 of the fitting member 6.
