PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint construction for an immersed tube having a high absorbing function for displacement which can cope with troubles at a joint portion of the immersed tube and also have a high cut-off performance. SOLUTION: At the joint construction of the immersed tube 1, a protruded portion 31 is provided in the peripheral direction of a joint end surface 2 of the immersed tube 1 and the inner side of the protruded portion 31 is formed with a recessed portion. A slide portion 4 movable toward the abutting surface of the immersed tube 1, and a jack 51 movable at the slide portion 4 by the expansion and contraction arranged at the rear of the slide portion 4 are stored into the protruded portion 31 of at least one of facing immersed tubes. Both tubes 1 are coupled together by protruding the coupling member 61 from the recessed portion 32 of the tubes 1, and the protruded portion 31 of the facing tube 1 is coupled by interposing a water cut-off member 7.
