PURPOSE: A power transmitting device for a clutchless compressor is provided to reduce expenses, and to improve performance and quality by coping with torque change of the compressor without changing the design or parts. CONSTITUTION: A power transmitting device comprises an inner plate(65) fixed in a plate(62) connecting a hub of a pulley(55) to a rim(61), and an outer cover(66) fixed to a hub plate(57) combined with a shaft(56) to cover the inner plate. Semicircular engagement grooves(67,68) are arranged in the edges of the inner plate and the outer cover, and torque plates(69,70) are inserted to the engagement grooves to transmit power. Manufacturing cost is reduced, and the performance and the quality of the compressor are improved by coping with the torque change of the compressor.
