A winching unit for a ski run grooming vehicle with a winching arm as well as a cable feeding device for a winching cable, which cable feeding device is supported in a movable manner on a forward end area of the winching arm, is already known. In accordance with the invention, light-emitting and/or light-reflecting signaling apparatus are assigned to the winching cable, which signaling apparatus allow the course of the winching cable to be seen over the entire length of the cable in the extended, tightened condition of the winching cable and in the dark.
