<p>The present invention relates to a method for identification and registration of containers with identical items, for example electronic components on reels, which are received at a factory before the containers are moved to the factory stock. Each container has a general label attached to it with a general ID, indicative of the type of items in said container. The general label may be a bar code on a bar code label. An individual label with an individual ID is created for the container. The individual ID is attached to the container. The general label with the general ID and the individual label with the individual ID are read simultaneously and the individual ID is associated with the type of items in said container. A data record containing the specific ID and said associated type of items is stored in a database.</p> |
