PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feeding device capable of properly feeding a sheet, regardless of the kind of the sheet, and image reading device and image forming device provided with the sheet feeding device. SOLUTION: After sheets 5 stored in a sheet storing means 4 and fed by a sheet feeding means 14 are separated one by one by a separating part 8, the sheets 5 are fed to downstream side carrying parts 2 and 28. A separating roller 13 constituting the separating part 8 and feeding the sheets 5 separated one by one to the downstream side carrying parts 2 and 28 is driven by a driving means. A pressure accumulating means for accumulating rotational force for rotating the separating roller 13 is provided between the separating roller 13 and the driving means. After the driving means is stopped by the pressure accumulating means, the separating roller 13 is rotated by a prescribed angle in a sheet feeding direction. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
