PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air sealed cushioning item capable of easily protecting a plate-shaped item to be protected. SOLUTION: In the cushioning material having an air sealed portion 1 formed between every pair of non-air-permeable soft resin-made sheets by laminating them, the air-sealed portion 1 is formed in the forward and backward direction and has a plurality of slender small cells 2 arranged in the right and left direction, a holding concave portion 4 extending in the forward and backward direction is formed between the small cells 2 and a plurality of items 5 to be protected can be held without making them contact each other by inserting the part of the circumference of each item 5 to be protected in the holding concave portion 4.
