PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid ejecting head capable of shortening meniscus recovery time, reducing meniscus vibration at the time of the recovery, and improving liquid ejection efficiency, ejection force, ejection speed, and impact accuracy with respect to a medium to be recorded, a liquid ejecting cartridge, and a liquid ejecting unit. SOLUTION: In the head comprising a nozzle for ejecting a liquid, a tank for supplying the liquid, a channel for linking the two elements, and a liquid ejecting means disposed in the channel for generating pressure for ejecting the liquid from the nozzle, a channel sectional area changing means for dynamically changing the channel sectional area is disposed in the channel.
