The lifting device of marker elements (1) comprises a frame (26) on which are suspended, on either side at a distance from the frame median plane (PP'), a set of two axles (27a,27b) of wheels (32a,32b) directed downwards relative to the frame. They are mounted on two movable wheelbase chassis (28a,28b) either side the median plane by means of actuators (31a,31b). Each axle comprises n wheels able to be synchronously rotated and in the opposite direction from one axle to the other. The perimeter of each wheel has an elastomer tire (34). The wheels have movable wheelbases so as to exert upward clamping forces on the sides (7) of the markers in order to ensure their lifting. An Independent claim is included for a handling vehicle for the road markers.
