<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably attenuate high-output light when characteristics of a high- output type optical device, optical equipment, etc., are measured or an optical transmission system including an exciting light source and an optical amplifier is monitored and controlled. <P>SOLUTION: Between a connector 1a as a light input end and a connector 1b as a light output end, optical attenuators 3-1 to 3-n which are connected in series from the connector 1a to the connector 1b and increase in light attenuation quantity in order are provided and connected to one another by optical fibers 4-1 to 4-m. Light inputted from the connector 1a is attenuated by the optical attenuators 3-1 to 3-n one after another, and at this time, the optical attenuators 3-1 to 3-n have nearly the same light consuming power. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
