<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which reduces image quality deterioration when the density of a completely black image varies due to the black character proportion of the image to be recorded and automatically and satisfactorily controls image density on recording paper after transfer. <P>SOLUTION: The black character proportion of each scan by a laser deflecting system is calculated by an arithmetic control part 11 and transmitted to a power supply means 7 as image density adjustment information. Based upon the information, the power supply means 7 adjusts and controls the power supply characteristic value of an electrifying means 5, a developing means 4, or an exposure means 2. As a result even in the case of an image that varies in black proportion in the main scanning direction, constant and satisfactory image density can be automatically obtained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
