<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a WDM signal monitor capable of accurately measuring a modulated WDM signal. <P>SOLUTION: The monitor comprises a spectrophotometer for measuring the spectrum of a WDM signal, a response characteristic data memory for storing response characteristic data for the line spectrum of an optical signal from the spectrophotometer, a corrector for obtaining correction data upon input of properties of the WDM signal inputted to the spectrophotometer, based on the properties of the WDM signal and the response characteristic data in the response characteristic data memory, a correction data memory for storing correction data obtained by the corrector, and an arithmetic unit for computing at least the optical signal level of the WDM signal, based on the spectrum measured by the spectrophotometer and the correction data in the correction data memory. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
