PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coaxial connector fitted with a switch embodied in a small construction. SOLUTION: The coaxial connector fitted with switch comprises a movable terminal plate 20 supported by a housing 2 in a cantilever form and extending downward aslant from the forefront edge of a movable contact supporting piece 24 fitted fast in the housing 2 and the forefront is folded back upward, so that a movable spring piece 26 approximately in a U-shape is formed, and the folded-back part 27 of the movable spring piece 26 is located opposite a plug inserting hole 5 about a stationary contact 41 in such a way as facing each other, and a movable contact 41 is provided in the folded-back part 27, while a plug contact 25 to touch the center conductor 72 of a plug connector 70 is provided in a part nearer the free end than the folded-back part 27. In case the plug connector 70 is not connected, the movable contact 21 contacts resiliently with the stationary contact 41 owing to the resilience of the movable spring piece 26, and in case the plug connector 70 is connected, the free end of the movable spring piece 26 is depressed by the center conductor 72 to cause the movable contact 21 to separate from the stationary contact 41.
