The floor cleaner (1) has a downwardly open casing (10) containing a spray arm rotating around a vertical axis. The spray arm has an outlet for cleaning fluid sprayed under the housing. There is a through opening (19) in top of the housing to allow suction of surrounding air into the cleaner. The opening can be partially or fully closable.
