A method and a plant are disclosed, in which beer is subjected to at least one treatment, for example, concentration by freezing out of water. According to the invention, at least one beer flow is continuously withdrawn from a beer tank (10) in a treatment phase, said beer flow is subjected to the treatment and then returned to the beer tank (10). The treatment phase is terminated when the beer in the tank (10) reaches a set treated condition. Alternatively or additionally the/a beer flow is subjected to the treatment in the flowing state.
