PURPOSE: Provided are a cap assembly which has improved structures for sealing an electrolyte injection hole formed at a cap plate and thus prevents the leakage of electrolyte, and a secondary battery applying the same. CONSTITUTION: The cap assembly comprises a cap plate(310) having terminal through-holes and electrolyte injection holes(312); an electrode terminal which is connected by the terminal through-holes; a gasket which is positioned at outer circumference of the electrode terminal, and insulates the electrode terminal from the cap plate(310); and a sealing plate(340) which is positioned on the electrolyte injection holes(312), and contacts with top of the cap plate(310) and thus seals the electrolyte injection holes(312).
