PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the storage of data for every kind of commodities without requiring the remodeling of a system and to allow a retrieval using the attribute peculiar to every kind. SOLUTION: A commodity meta information storage part 11 stores and manages commodity meta-information showing the attribute structure possessed by each commodity by use of the kind classified according to the attribute structure of the commodity as a key. A commodity information storage part 12 stores and manages commodity information showing the attribute value possessed by each commodity by use of a commodity identifier as a key, and realizes the conformation of the commodity information to the commodity meta-information so that it can be confirmed which attribute the attribute value in the commodity information is related to. A commodity meta-information management part 2 performs the management related to the commodity meta- information in the commodity meta-information storage part 11. A commodity information management part 3 performs the management related to the commodity information in the commodity information storage part 12 such as 'the acquisition of commodity information by a retrieval using the attribute peculiar to a designated kind'.
