PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic natural language translating system. SOLUTION: This automatic natural language translating system for receiving a text sentence in source natural language (preferentially, English), and for translating it into target natural language (preferentially, Japanese) allows an operator to automatically re-translate the selected part of the source text. This system is improved to make more accurate the first translation of a document including words and phrases having a different translation in a different field, to designate several grammatical rules as a control means to remove any improper translation, and to use the value of probability associated with the entry word of a dictionary to remove any improper translation.
