<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous gas distribution plate for small fuel cells, which makes the plate thin, is available while holding its suitable physical strength, also processing cost is cheap, and its handling is easy, for the purpose to improve the performance of the fuel cell by raising the contact of MEA and a separator plate, and to provide the separator plate for the small fuel cells manufactured including this. <P>SOLUTION: The porous gas distribution plate for the small fuel cells is a porous gas distribution plate, in which many holes, which penetrate a metal plate, with a diameter of 2 mm or less, have been formed by an etching method, and the whole surface of the metal plate is characterized in that its surface is flat, and fine gas grooves with the depth of 0.6 mm or less and the width of 2 mm or less are formed keeping the fixed interval of 2 mm or less only in its back face. After arranging the above gas distribution plate to the metal thin plate of the thickness of 0.6 mm or less so that the face of the gas distribution plate, on which the gas grooves have been formed, and the metal thin plate may touch, respectively, the separator plate for the small fuel cells is manufactured by combining these gas distribution plate and the metal thin plate with each other, so that gas may not flow out. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
