<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a feeling of uneasiness to a dead angle by providing an image composed to a dead angle region surrounding a vehicle, and to enable a driver to easily grasp the position relation between the vehicle and a peripheral obstacle through an image by generating an imaged image from the position near a viewpoint of the driver. <P>SOLUTION: Viewpoint conversion is performed from an image A0 photographed by a dead angle camera provided on the outside of the vehicle body to an image in the case of being photographed at a viewpoint position of the driver, to thereby generate a converted external image A2, and a viewpoint image B0 is acquired by a driver's viewpoint camera provided near the viewpoint position of the driver, and a visible range image B1 determined by removing the dead angle region from the viewpoint image B0 is generated. The converted external image A2 is composed with the visible range image B1, to thereby acquire a composite image having a supplemented dead angle region part.
