A magazine for a labelling machine has the labels on a support strip and supplied in a box shaped container with both leading and trailing ends protruding. The magazines are loaded onto a support platform in line and are spliced without affecting the feed of labels from the first magazine. The magazines can be moved towards the labelling machine on a roller track, with empty magazines pushed out on one side while the feed of labels continues from the next following magazine.
