PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging apparatus which can move an object to be packaged to the front of the apparatus without using a pusher. SOLUTION: The packaging apparatus includes a front fixing member 72, a rear folding plate 71, a rear folding plate moving motor 71a for moving the plate 71 fore and aft, a Nichrome wire mounted on the front fixing member 72, and a control section. The control section controls the motor 71a and the Nichrome wire to move the plate 71 forward. Then, after an article G is moved forward while folding a film onto a bottom of the article G by the rear folding plate 71, the plate 71 is brought into contact with the fixing member 72 to heat-seal the film F under the article G by heat input from the Nichrome wire.
