摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve, in an electrophotographic device, a reduction in load on a cleaning unit, the prevention of irregular abrasion of the surface of a photoreceptor, and also the prevention of excessive abrasion of the photoreceptor used in a high speed machine. <P>SOLUTION: The electrophotographic device has a latent image formation means for forming a latent image by subjecting the photoreceptor to electrification and exposure, a toner image formation means that forms a toner image by supplying toner to the latent image, a transfer means for transferring the toner image to a transfer material, and a cleaning means for removing residue and foreign matter on the surface of the photoreceptor by means of a cleaning blade. In the electrophotographic device, if the free energy of the surface of the photoreceptor is &gamma;D, the free energy of the surface of the cleaning blade is &gamma;B, and the free energy of the surface of the toner is &gamma;T, the relationship &gamma;D>&gamma;B>&gamma;T is established.
