<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve, in an electrophotographic device, a reduction in load on a cleaning unit, the prevention of irregular abrasion of the surface of a photoreceptor, and also the prevention of excessive abrasion of the photoreceptor used in a high speed machine. <P>SOLUTION: The electrophotographic device has a latent image formation means for forming a latent image by subjecting the photoreceptor to electrification and exposure, a toner image formation means that forms a toner image by supplying toner to the latent image, a transfer means for transferring the toner image to a transfer material, and a cleaning means for removing residue and foreign matter on the surface of the photoreceptor by means of a cleaning blade. In the electrophotographic device, if the free energy of the surface of the photoreceptor is γD, the free energy of the surface of the cleaning blade is γB, and the free energy of the surface of the toner is γT, the relationship γD>γB>γT is established. Additionally, the peripheral speed of the photoreceptor is 400 mm/sec or higher and the relationship of γD>γT>γB is established. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
