The electronic unit has a processor, an input-output device (18) and a cryptographic unit (14). A direct bidirectional data transfer link (20) is established between input-output and cryptographic unit. The link is by memory shared between input-output device and cryptographic unit. Input-output uses a UART and the cryptographic unit has a register memory (16) as common memory. |
