<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas collecting material wherein desorption of an organic iodine compound contained in a radioactive gas is suppressed. <P>SOLUTION: The gas collecting material is made by using activated carbon having a pore volume of 30Åor smaller diameter pores of 0.50 cc/g and has a mean pore diameter of not larger than 20Åand an amine impregnation amount of 3-40 wt.%. The material has a heating desorption ratio of methyl iodide of not higher than 50% by utilizing a synergistic effect of chemical adsorption and physical adsorption. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
