PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously perform a time-dissolved measurement and a spectral measurement in the spectrometry of a luminescent (fluorescent) phenomenon. SOLUTION: A sample is irradiated with excitation light, the sample is excited so as to emit light, a Kerr medium is irradiated in such a way that its emitted light and/or gate light have the optical delay time at least on the Kerr medium, and the Kerr medium is irradiated in such a way that the gate light and the emitted light are overlapped. The emitted light is polarized on the Kerr medium only in a moment in which the Kerr medium is irradiated with the gate light. Polarization axes which are arranged at the front and the rear of the Kerr medium pass the emitted light polarized by mutually vertical polarizing plates, the passed emitted light is spectrally diffracted into two dimensions of the time base and the wavelength axis of the optical delay time so as to be spectrally diffracted in real time in the time width of the optical delay time, and the time-dissolved measurement and the spectral measurement are performed simultaneously.
