<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modulated laser light output device capable of accurately detecting intensity of laser light outputted from light modulating elements, and controlling the laser light intensity more precisely. <P>SOLUTION: The modulated laser light output device comprises a light source 2 for outputting the laser light, a light modulator 4 for receiving a modulation signal and an intensity instruction signal 40s in a pulse form and modulating the laser light into pulse form laser light of predetermined intensity, a photodetector 7 for receiving the laser light from the light modulator 4 and outputting an electric signal according to the intensity of the laser light, an A-D converter 32 for converting the electric signal from the photodetector 7 into a digital signal according to a sampling signal 32, a logic circuit 36 as a sampling signal generation means for generating a sampling-capable sampling signal 36s from a peak value of the electric signal 7s based on the electric signal 7s outputted from the photodetector 7, and a CPU 37 as a control means for generating an intensity instruction signal 40s based on the digital signal 32s from the A-D converter 32. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
