<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for preventing and improving hypertension, by which rise of blood pressure is sustainedly suppressed and hypertension is improved and which is useful as a medicine for preventing and treating hypertension and is widely used as a food raw material and also useful as a health food. <P>SOLUTION: This composition comprises (a) a compound selected from a group consisting of coffeic acid, chlorogenic acid, esters thereof and pharmaceutical acceptable salts thereof and (b) an enzyme-decomposed product of a protein or a peptide having vasodepressor activity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
