PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fulfill the demand that an antibacterial resin composition and a molding thereof should have excellent antibacterial activity and good persistence of that property. SOLUTION: The antibacterial resin composition and a molding made therefrom are a thermoplastic resin containing a small amount of a silver chlorocomplex and a molding thereof. The antibacterial resin composition made from a thermoplastic resin and an antibacterial agent comprising a silver chlorocomplex and the molding can exhibit excellent antibacterial activity as the result of the silver chlorocomplex added in a small amount, has marked long-term persistence of antibacterial activity. The resin composition and a molding thereof are effective in various uses such as antibacterial containers and antibacterial storage boxes. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
