PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive printer to which a paper can be set easily. SOLUTION: The paper setting operation is simplified by providing a first feeding switch 7 in the vicinity of a discharge opening for discharging a paper from the printer 7 and a second feeding switch 8 in the vicinity of a paper inserting opening 2 of the printer 1, controlling the paper conveyance based on the input signals from the first feeding switch 7 and the second feeding switch 8, and logically connecting the first feeding switch 7 and the second feeding switch 8.
