PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press, its bearing assembly, and guiding method for guiding a smooth relative movement between a slide element and a frame, and for preventing inclination in all directions of the slide element relative to the frame. SOLUTION: A first guide assembly acts between the slide element 92 and one of the columns 64, 66 constituting the frame 62. The first guide assembly has a) a first bearing assembly consisting of a first housing arranged on one of the slide element and one column, a first carrier that is guidingly movable relative to the first housing, and a first roller element that is movable guidingly relative to the first carrier and that acts against a first surface on the other of the slide element or the column and b) a second bearing assembly consisting of a second housing arranged on one of the slide element and the column, a second carrier that is guidingly movable relative to the second housing, and a second roller element that acts against a second surface on the slide element or the frame.
