PURPOSE: A system and a method for furnishing a multimedia service in an IMT-2000(International Mobile Telecommunications-2000) mobile communication switching network are provided to set optimum resources for video signals with dynamic characteristics received from a plurality of mobile terminals, and to transceive the corresponding signals by using the set resources, thereby furnishing an optimum multimedia service satisfying various service requirements requested by the plurality of the mobile terminals. CONSTITUTION: A wireless channel allocator/controller(130), or a node-B, allocates wireless channels for transceiving signals with a plurality of mobile terminals(110,111,110',111'), and receives video signals from the plurality of mobile terminals(110,111,110',111') through the wireless channels. MSCs(150,150') set transceiving control data satisfying requirements by the mobile terminals(110,111,110',111') for the video signals received through the wireless channels, and transmit the video signals to destination mobile terminals(110,111,110',111') in real time by using the set transceiving control data. And a BSC(Base Station Controller)(140) controls the wireless channel allocator/controller(130) to transmit the video signals to the target mobile terminals(110,111,110',111') by the transceiving control data set by the MSCs(150,150'). |
