PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stator of a dynamoelectric machine having a highly reliable U-shaped conductor successive connection type stator coil and a method of manufacturing the same which can simplify the manufacturing process of the dynamoelectric machine and increase the output of the dynamoelectric machine. SOLUTION: One 331f of a pair of ends of a U-shaped conductor 33 coming out of a slot 35 is not bent circumferentially but formed straight and the other end is bent circumferentially by a distance corresponding to one pole pitch and its tip is connected to the tip of the end 331f of another U-shaped conductor 33. With such a constitution, a U-shaped conductor successive connection type stator can be manifested more easily than with a conventionally known constitution and, further, various operational advantages can be obtained.
