PURPOSE: An MPEG data receiving apparatus, a system and method for transmitting and receiving MPEG data are provided to allow the MPEG data receiving apparatus and an MPEG data providing apparatus to perform interaction. CONSTITUTION: An MPEG data receiving apparatus includes a storage unit(14) for storing image technique information separated from a received MPEG stream, a command recognition unit(19) for outputting node identification information of an object selected by a user and image correction command received from the user, and a correction unit(20). The correction unit searches the storage unit for image technique information corresponding to the image correction command to selectively perform a process of updating the image technique information for the object according as the image technique information corresponding the image correction command exists or not and a process of requesting an MPEG stream providing apparatus to provide the image technique information corresponding to the image correction command.
