PURPOSE: A service management system for supplying a differential service on the Internet and a service method therefor are provided to supply a priority service to a user wanting to have more than basic service, and to enable the user to receive a differentiated service on the Internet, thereby supplying a commercialization model of the differentiated service. CONSTITUTION: A host and communication module(31) authenticates user information inputted from a host, and transmits an assigned service IP address to the host. A service assignment deciding module(32) guides service kinds to the host, and receives a response from the host. A DHCP server module(33) assigns one of IP addresses according to a decided service kind, transmits the address to the host, and records service usage time, the assigned IP address, and user identifier information of the host in a DB(34). A router and communication module(35) communicates with a router. If the assigned IP address is not assigned to receive a service, the DHCP server module(33) assigns a specific IP address to the router as a specific service.
