PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the conventional problem by using a developing device, provided with a developer carrying machine applied for adhering a developer to an image formation surface, having an electrostatic latent image. SOLUTION: A non-interactive magnetic brush developing device provided, with the developer carrying machine applied for adhering the developer to the image formation surface having the electrostatic latent image, has a housing forming a chamber for storing a feed source of the developer consisting of a carrier and a toner, a magnetic assembly arranged in the chamber from the image formation surface at a regular interval and having a plurality of poles, and a sleeve surrounding the magnetic assembly and rotated around the magnetic assembly. It is positioned at a prescribed position of the circumference of a toner member and a donor roll, carrying the developer on the outer face to a region opposed to the image formation surface at a regular interval, and the height of a developer bed of the developer on the toner member includes a plurality of trim bars, reduced gradually to the prescribed height of the developer bed in a developing nip.
