<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic viewfinder which is used for video display on an active matrix type liquid crystal display panel, etc., equipped with a thin film transistor for each pixel and improves its light use efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic viewfinder has a light source (LED 1), the active matrix type liquid crystal display panel (LCD 3) equipped with the thin film transistor (TFT 11) for each pixel, and a reflection part which reflects the light from the LED 1 to the LCD 3; and is characterized in that a polarized light separating film 7 which selectively transmits a specified light component is arranged between the LED 1 and the reflection part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
