<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflective liquid crystal display having a reflection electrode with excellent reflection property, a method for manufacturing the same with a simple process, a transfer material for forming a reflector to be used therefor, and a method for manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The transfer material for forming the reflector is constructed by disposing at least a layer of resin layers on a temporary supporting body and disposing a projecting and recessing part having depths or protrusion heights within ≥5% and ≤300% thickness of the resin layer on a layer adjacent to the resin layer or on the temporary supporting body adjacent to the resin layer with embossing. The method for manufacturing the same is also disclosed. The liquid crystal display device is provided with a first substrate having a first electrode with a reflection function formed on at least a part of a surface of the substrate facing a second substrate, the second substrate placed opposite to the first substrate, and a liquid crystal layer sealed between the first and the second substrates and is provided with the resin layer having the projecting and recessing part on the surface formed in a process including a transfer using the transfer material for forming the reflector between the first substrate and the first electrode.
