The spray can container (1) neck (1.1) makes surface contact with an inserted connector (2) arranged so the other two surfaces engage one another by means of fitted projections or nose and recess. A valve unit (3) installed in the connector (2) is connected to the container interior (1) and the neck (1.1) is encircled by a clamping ring (4) so as to form a second pair of circular contact faces. Neck and clamp ring form a positive fit similar to that obtaining between container neck and connector (2). A stop face in the neck area prevents the ring sliding axially up and beyond the free end of the neck.
