<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compressor eliminating any possibility of falling-off of its components from the compressor even if drive torque is suddenly increased by the instantaneous seizure of a compression mechanism and a driving shaft is broken at its shear fracture weakest part in the compressor provided with a clutch rotor driven by an external drive source via a belt, a housing nose rotatably supporting the clutch rotor, a clutch armature capable attracted to/ separated from the clutch rotor by an electromagnetic force, and the driving shaft inserted into the housing nose and fixed to the clutch armature. <P>SOLUTION: This compressor is provided with the compression mechanism driven by the driving shaft 8. When the maximum diameter of a part extending from the shear fracture weakest part of the driving shaft to the fixed part of the clutch armature 12a is represented byϕd and the minimum inside diameter of the housing noise is represented byϕD<SB>1</SB>, thenϕd>ϕD<SB>1</SB>and theϕd part is positioned insideϕD<SB>1</SB>in the compressor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
