PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packing for treating or preventing the incipient stage of degeneration of an arthroidal cartilage or subcartilaginous bone. SOLUTION: This package comprises an outer container and an inner container contained therein and is suitable for commercial use for treating or preventing the incipient stage of degeneration of an anthroidal cartilage or subcartilaginous bone. The container contains a cartilage protection compound represented by formula (I) (wherein R<SP>2</SP>, R<SP>6</SP>, and R<SP>9</SP>are each defined in the description) in a suitable dosage form. In the package, a printed instruction- or information-providing material is stuck to the outer container or to the inner container contained therein or is displayed as an indispensable part of the container, informing a reader that the injury, damage, or loss of an anthroidal cartilage or subcartilaginous bone after the incipient stage of degeneration of the anthroidal cartilage or subcartilaginous bone will be improved, reduced, positively treated, turned over, or prevented.
