<p>A settlement apparatus includes an ID information input unit (501) provided on a shopping cart (102) for inputting customer ID information, commodity identification information read unit (504) for reading commodity identification information attached to a commodity which is to be purchased and placed in a basket (200) of a shopping cart (102), a commodity information acquiring unit (505) for acquiring the commodity information of the commodity based on the commodity identification information which has been read, and a settlement processing unit (508) for performing settlement of prices of commodities by using the commodity information acquired and the customer ID information which has been input. Thus, it is possible to effectively perform settlement of prices of commodities to be purchased and easily set/modify prices of commodities, thereby promoting sales.</p> |
