PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a variable capacitor for tuning from being damaged even when an erroneous tuning dial value is input with an erroneous operation by an operator to generate the possibility of driving a dial exceeding a variable range of the dial. SOLUTION: In this auto-tuning probe which is a probe for irradiating a sample with a high-frequency wave and for detecting an NMR signal emitted from the sample just after the irradiation, wherein a mechanism for making the tuning variable is provided in a probe side, and wherein the tuning variable mechanism is driven from a driving part provided separately via a transmission means to conduct the tuning, a regulation means is provided to regulate a driving range of the tuning variable mechanism.
