摘要 <p>The invention relates to a system and method for protecting against short circuits in electric power distribution architectures with two voltage levels. The inventive system comprises a first battery, B1, and a second higher-voltage battery, B2, each of which is provided with automatic disconnection means SDB. Said batteries are intended to supply electric power in a differentiated manner to sectors of a network which are equipped with units (10), (20), (30) which distribute power towards charges (12), (22), (23), (32), (33), said units (10), (20), (30) comprising a microcontroller (10a), (20a), (30a). Battery B1 and supplying sectors can be powered from the second battery, B2, by means of a DC/DC converter, said second battery B2 being connected to a voltage generator. The voltage and current at the terminals of battery B1 are monitored as well as the status of the DC/DC converter. If the aforementioned status passes to a pre-determined status and, subsequently, the voltage and current values exceed a threshold, the microcontrollers (10a, 20a, 30a) are informed by means of a communication network, R, so that a short circuit protection procedure is performed.</p>
