Products for human or animal consumption comprise: (1) granules or particles having active material, alone or with additives; and (2) a solid water-insoluble hydrophobic agent having a melting point in the range 10-80 degrees C, that isolates the active material and prevents it from being activated until such time as the hydrophobic agent melts.
