PURPOSE:To obtain the titled resin having excellent elongation, by connecting plurality of complete-mixing reactors and plug-flow reactors in series and polymerizing a styrene monomer and a rubbery polymer, etc., under specific condition while controlling the particle diameter and the gel content of the rubber particle. CONSTITUTION:A styrene monomer and a rubbery polymer are prepolymerized in a 1st complete-mixing reactor and a 2nd complete-mixing reactor connected in series. The solid content S1 of the polymerized liquid at the outlet of the 1st reactor and the content of the rubbery polymer (r) in the feed solution is controlled to satisfy the relationship 1.6r<S1<2.6r and the solid content S2 of the polymerized liquid at the outlet of the 2nd reactor is controlled to satisfy the formula S2<5.0r. Simultaneous to the prepolymerization, the rubbery polymer in the polymerized liquid is granulated in the 2nd reactor and the main polymerization is carried out in a plug-flow reactor connected to the 2nd reactor in series to enable the continuous production of the objective resin. |
