PURPOSE: An apparatus for filtering cooling water in blast furnace gas cleaning facility is provided to remove dust contained in the gas by washing gas discharged along with dust in ironmaking process, and a method for treating blast furnace gas having high dust removing efficiency using the apparatus is provided. CONSTITUTION: In a filtering apparatus(1) installed at blast furnace gas cleaning facility for removing dust contained in blast furnace gas to filter cooling water polluted during dust removing, the apparatus for filtering cooling water in the blast furnace gas cleaning facility enable easy backwashing comprises a body(20) at which cooling water inlet and outlet pipes(12,14) are installed, and to the outer wall of which a guide member(10) is supported; a filtering member(30) vertically movably inserted into the body(20); and a vibration generating means(50) installed in such a structure that an elastic body(40) is interposed between the lower part of the body(20) and the vibration generating means(50) so that the vibration generating means(50) integrally along with the body(20) vibrate the filtering member(30) during operation of the vibration generating means(50), wherein foreign materials of the vibrating filtering member(30) are removed and backwashed by supplying high pressure air and cleaning water to vibrating filtering member(30) through the inlet pipe(12).
