PURPOSE: An electrode jelly roll for a secondary battery is provided, to remove the deviation of horizontal force acting on an electrode jelly roll, thereby preventing the deformation of an electrode jelly roll. CONSTITUTION: The electrode jelly roll(20) comprises positive and negative electrode plates which contain an active material on the both sides and are wound together with a separator placed between the two electrode plates; and positive and negative electrode taps(12a, 12b) which are adhered to the positive and negative electrode plates, respectively, and have horizontal force deviation preventing means(30a, 30b) for preventing the deviation of horizontal force acting on the thickness direction of an electrode jelly roll by the deviation of thickness of an electrode jelly roll. Preferably the horizontal force deviation preventing means are the horizontal extension part horizontally extended from the lower parts of the positive and negative electrode taps(12a, 12b), and the horizontal extension part is adhered to the top face of the positive and negative electrode plates where an active material is removed.
