PURPOSE: A device for turning inlet material is provided to continuously correct the direction of a coil material put differently with work instructions without delay of work. CONSTITUTION: A device for turning inlet material includes cradle rolls(15) on which materials(11) are put; a photo sensor(110) checking the under and over states of the materials put on the cradle roll; a pair of semi circular swivel bases(100); and a pair of semi circular swivel fixed bases(120) combined with the bottom of the swivel bases. In the semi circular swivel bases, a lifting cylinder(150) is released according to the checked result of the photo sensor, and a gear drive motor(130) and an external gear(131) are operated by an electric socket and an up-down cylinder and thus the semi circular swivel bases rotate at an angle of 180 degrees. An idle roll is installed on the semi circular swivel fixed base, to guide rotation of the swivel base. Rotation of the swivel base is controlled by a proximity sensor(140) and a proximity sensor touch bar(141).
